Our Quality and Logistics team ensures that all machines leave the Massachusetts location in the best conditions possible for our customers. They also provide delivery and logistics services to our customers.
The Job
Our Technician Apprenticeposition is a key part of our Parts, Delivery and Inspection (PDI), Quality and Logistics team. In this position, you work as an apprentice to our PDI technicians. As an apprentice you will assist with basic hydraulic repair, paint touch-up, and part replacement. Additional responsibilities include managing products in the warehouse, loading and unloading containers, setting up equipment for the pre-delivery inspection process, transporting equipment and parts between business locations. The Warehouse Logistics Specialist helps to ensure that all process runs smoothly within the PDI, Quality and Logistics department.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist PDI Technicians in order to gain knowledge of the equipment
- Learn how to complete a full Pre-Delivery Inspection on each model machine
- Learn how to troubleshoot common problems found on machines in PDI
- Learn how to use SalesForce and become familiar with PDI checklists and work orders. Manage equipment in the warehouse (receiving, tracking, shipping, inventory)
- Set up machines and trailers for pre-delivery inspection for PDI
- Move equipment around warehouse and yard
- Operate class IV forklift (if not certified, will train)
- Operate class VII forklift (telehandler) (if not certified, will train)
- Transport equipment and parts between warehouses and service locations (no special license required. A DOT medical card must be obtained).
- Unload inbound trucks and containers
- Load outbound trucks and containers
- Work with safety as a primary concern
- Assist with yard and warehouse design, organization, and flow (shelves, racks, tools, etc), make suggestions for improvements.
- Ensure yard and warehouse are in compliance with safety requirements (OSHA 10, OSHA 30) and ensure yard and warehouse are neat and organized, maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility.
- Document all equipment before delivery
- Involved in washing and/or performing light maintenance on equipment
- Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization
- General mechanical aptitude
Requirements
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30 preferred
- Class IV and VII forklift experience (certification preferred or will train)
- DOT Medical card
- Driver’s license with a clean record
- Attention to detail
- Values safety
- Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time.
- Requires minimal supervision from management; typically a quick morning meeting to discuss the day’s tasks and touch base throughout the day as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- IPAF certified (will train)
- CPR/ AED certification (will train)
- Class 7 forklift (telehandler) certification or will train
- Familiarity with construction equipment
