Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Writer with a Secret clearance or higher to join our Naval Surface Warfare Center Team!

As a Technical Writer, you will:
- Analyze and prepare documentation, write, edit, and interpret technical documentation standards and prepare documentation accordingly.

A week in the life of a Technical Writer:
- Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
- Coordinate the display of graphics and the production of the document.
- Ensure content is of high quality and conforms with standards.
- Help author reports, plan and strategy documents, and meeting minutes.
Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
- At least (3) years of experience, background, and knowledge of one or more Defense Programs is required.
- BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in English, Communications, or Information Technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Planning and organization skills. Knowledge of software and computers.
- Possesses attention to detail and multitasking.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $65,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
