Career Opportunity: Technical Support Specialist – ACRE Security – Danbury, CT

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Support Specialist in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will provide services to our customers with Tier 1 Help Desk pre and post sales Technical Support, system troubleshooting, and RMA diagnosis. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and technical skills, a sense of ownership, drive, and a positive attitude. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Identify customers’ request via phone or email.
  • Understand question/problem and identify responsible party.
  • Create service cases and work orders.
  • Assist with product installation and initial troubleshooting, including software, network, and hardware issues.
  • Provide Tier 1 technical product support, involving Windows-based servers, network switches and application software.
  • Research and provide accurate and complete information by using the provided methods/tools.
  • Maintain strong customer service focus and successfully interact with customers.

To qualify for this great opportunity, you should have:

  • 5 or more years of Help Desk or IT support experience.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in an IT related field.
  • Strong PC hardware and software experience (build, repair, and troubleshooting issues).
  • Extreme attention to detail, organized, and accurate with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Servers).
  • Familiarity with fiber and/or IP surveillance video management software and/or IP cameras – a plus!
  • CompTIA IT and/or CCNA certification a plus.
