Duties and Responsibilities: 

Act as primary system administrator for library in LOUIS consortium.
Manage the library service platform and all of its components including the online catalog and discovery interface.
Maintain library website including all of its own components such as online chat and booking software.
Assist Director of Library and Academic Support with reports by collecting usage statistics on all library services and collections. Compiles and distributes reports on the metrics/statistics for all of the library's services.
Creates and maintains digital repositories, bibliographies, lists, reports, and data sets as needed.
Assists with collection development including OER/AER development and support, including course tagging.
Manage electronic resources and electronic collections, including authentication.
Catalogs and edits bibliographic entries for libraries' online automated system using accepted library standards and procedures.
Maintain the library's inventory of devices, laptops, and other technology.
Performs full-range of circulation including library privilege activation, account holds, overdues, course reserves, and equipment maintenance.
Assists with Information Literacy Instruction and Reference Services.
Assists with student technology support.
Participates in continuing professional development.
Serve on standing and ad hoc committees.
Recommend changes to library policies and procedures to the Director of Library and Academic Support.
Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education: MLIS from an ALA-accredited Master of Library Science university program.

 

Required KSAs:  Excellent written and oral communication skills; flexible schedule, ability to travel, demonstrated ability to work productively, independently, and collaboratively.

 

Preferred Experience: Experience with library management software, academic libraries, and library Technical Services and cataloging. Experience with web design and awareness of UI/UX principles.

 

Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
