We are seeking an experienced and well-rounded IT Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting infrastructure upgrades, collaborating with overseas service teams, coordinating with third-party vendors, and ensuring efficient help desk services. This role will also involve onsite documentation and disaster recovery planning, using established templates. This position is a temporary role, located in Boyceville, WI. Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Serve as a liaison between users and intercompany support agencies to deliver timely technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of new hardware and software systems.
- Evaluate existing infrastructure, hardware, and software, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute knowledge for the creation of self-service, service desk, and desktop support articles.
- Develop, update, and maintain documentation related to network and hardware, including infrastructure documents and workflows for system validation.
Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Teams.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory.
- Understanding of network infrastructure best practices and cabling standards.
- Familiarity with IT best practices, including hardware, software, network, and organizational knowledge.
- Knowledge of help desk processes and customer support.
- Microsoft SharePoint knowledge.
- Experience with infrastructure updates, assisting in the removal of outdated technologies and implementing new equipment and cabling as needed.
- Develop standard operating procedures and guides for IT and end-users.
- Assist in creating Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) documentation related to IT.
- Conduct baseline hardware and software inventory, and establish process controls.
