The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets. Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our technology department team remotely. This includes developing comprehensive technology insertion plans, leading design initiatives, and facilitating collaboration between the client’s internal design teams and external design service partners / providers. This position requires a deep understanding of building construction, design programs, and exceptional communication and management skills.
Responsibilities & Duties::
- Oversee the full lifecycle of program designs, ensuring the smooth integration of new technologies into clients data centers.
- Assist in planning and strategy workshops with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating large-scale workshops as needed.
- Collaborate with internal Technical Leads to facilitate design reviews, guiding technical decision-making, and resolving program-level issues.
- Develop comprehensive scopes of work for contracts, while gaining buy-in from internal stakeholders. Build cost, schedule, and scope documents for validation of design cut-in strategy.
- Formulate cross-functional design teams composed of internal and external resources. Manage program change, maintain project scope, and oversee design contracts.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure transparency throughout the program design and integration process.
- Ensure timely issuance of engineering program information to appropriate parties, track site feedback, and manage weekly design feedback calls.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in large-scale design programs, with a demonstrated skillset in program design management.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Extensive knowledge of change management principles within a program design context.
- Thorough understanding of project management principles, practices, and related technical areas.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills for complex technical concepts.
- Extensive experience with industry construction methods and techniques
- Self-motivated with the ability to analyze and resolve program-level issues promptly and independently.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to focus on multiple projects across various development phases.
- Experience in writing reports, creating documents and presentations, and delivering presentations to large audiences. Having the ability to tailor presentations to the audience is a plus.
- Candidates must be from the Northeast.
