Looking for a Technical Product Owner who is can use their technical knowledge to bridge the gap between product and technical aspects of product development. They will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to make their ideas a reality. This person should bring strong knowledge of: SQL, JIRA, APIs, Data Analysis, Database Modeling, etc.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, working with application development teams. Needs a Product Owner who truly understands technologies and can provide the “Why” from a technical perspective to Business/Product stakeholders.
- Financial Services experience
- Experience with SQL queries
- Experience with data analysis, database modeling
- Basic understanding of APIs - understands the concepts
- Experience working with Quality Engineering teams
- Should know JIRA inside and out - expert level
- Assists with roadmapping, PI Planning, refinement sessions
- Must have strong negotiation skills
Joining as a Technical Product Owner with Transition Transformation team, you will be responsible for planning and directing software solution projects to help design, build and maintain sustainable, scalable solutions that support delivery of the highest standards of software development processes. This role will also include responsibility for leading an agile delivery team to drive more quality, scope and scale in the offering and provide product leadership to other team members.
Responsibilities:
• Focus of refining the non-functional and technical details of user stories to be implemented by their teams
• Partner with Product Owners and Technical Leads to develop roadmaps, estimates, and timeline for the product
• Create, prioritize, and clarify Epics and Features for Technology initiatives in the backlog based on product roadmap, and resolve conflicts with priority
• Primary SME who ensures the technology backlog is clear, facilitates user story refinement and provides support to the team, and articulates what needs to be accomplished for technology changes
• Meet with Stakeholders to understand and develop the strategic technology and non-functional requirements for the Product
• Helps to define API specifications and Use Cases for API development using Domain Driven Design Principles
• Communicates with stakeholders, end users, business and IT and manages their expectations around technology initiatives
• Translate strategic technology vision, direction, and mandates into technical specifications
Requirements:
• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
• 5+ Years hands on as a Business Analyst or a Technical Product Owner in a professional environment using SAFe or another Agile delivery methodologies
• Understanding of building AWS-based full stack web applications and cloud migrations
• Significant experience defining APIs, Data Models, and other technical specifications
• 5+ Years with Jira and other tools in the Atlassian product suite
• Ability to write and execute SQL statements and other types of database queries
Preferences:

• Understanding of Technology Governance processes and artifacts
• Experience with Financial Services Products
