The Technical Lead will be crucial in leading the production and implementation of functional software solutions to drive product development at PrimePay. What You Will Do:

• Manage projects and tasks assigned in support of the product team
• Evaluate business and technology requirements to determine the best fit within the enterprise application infrastructure
• Be the subject matter expert on our existing applications and integrations
• Ensure the best use of new technologies as they are implemented
• Supervise, mentor and coach local and offshore team members to ensure consistent code quality
• Develop technical designs and architectures to support product requirements
• Evaluate alternative applications and solutions to meet business capabilities and requirements
• Identify gaps in existing technology based on business capability roadmaps and determine the best way to fill the gap using existing or new applications
• Ensure applications are implemented and configured to meet business and technical requirements as well as best practices
• Work with high performing Engineering teams in offshore office locations
• Participate in special projects or perform other duties as required

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Equivalent
• Minimum of 7+ years in Java/J2EE Application Development
• Experience providing Technical Leadership to offshore teams
• Experience with Agile/iterative development methodologies (XP, SCRUM, etc.)
• Experience with one or more MVC frameworks such as Groovy/Grails, Spring–MVC, Vaadin, GWT, Struts, etc
• Experience with SPA frameworks. VueJS, React, Angular
• Solid relational DBMS skills, preferably PostgreSQL or other DBMS products
• Real-world experience building large scale, high availability applications
• Experience developing web services using REST, SOAP, or XML-RPC, approaches
• Experience with Cloud based deployments and cloud native architectures, preferably AWS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
