POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Technical Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for generating revenue through consultative and technical selling while providing best in class support and service to current and former customers. You will thrive in this role if you have a strong mechanical aptitude, with savvy communication skills to be able to best understand customer's needs, as well as use your technical product knowledge to consult, troubleshoot and provide the best solution for their needs. The ideal candidate must be comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced and competitive, team-oriented environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide best-in-class customer service by listening attentively to customer's needs and assisting them with product selection
- Meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs by managing a pipeline of opportunities and responding to customer's inquiries, as well as identifying opportunities to up-sell
- Prepare accurate price quotes for customers, including estimates of related shipping charges and delivery dates
- Accept and enter customer purchase orders and create corresponding sales orders, while advising them on future forecasting of product needs
- Stays up to date on product knowledge across all brands and product categories
- Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to find the best possible solution for our customers
- Efficiently multi-task through all channels of communication with our customers; mainly via call and/or email to ensure quick response times, and ensure customers are attended to timely
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- 2+ Year Customer Service
- 2+ Year Sales Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ Year Technical training or equivalent industry experience
- Previous Sales or Customer Service experience in a power transmission or bearings industry
- Experience using Microsoft Office Products
