Responsibilities:
Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. Essential Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Department Director and/or medical staff, the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for various procedures within the Cardiovascular US Lab, such as Echocardiography, TEE’s, Stress testing, vascular testing, etc. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing a technologists impression of the study, proper notification regarding abnormal studies, and accurate billing information.
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
  • governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical/clinical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • 1 year previous experience patient care environment is preferred
  • General education level (high school). 1 or 2 years post-secondary education program specializing in specializing in sonographic cardiovascular procedures
  • Eligible for the ARDMS registry (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography). BLS certification.
  • CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
