THE JOB
This is a Teamcenter Solution Architect position and requires someone who has PLM and Teamcenter experience. As a Teamcenter Solution Architect, your roles and responsibilities will include: - Define and develop technical architecture for company s PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.
- Assist various teams in the design of future state PLM solutions (processes enabled by CAD and PLM technologies) based on industry best practices and aligned with Siemens Teamcenter platform for the following areas: document management, quality management, advanced product configuration management, change control, managed CAD in PLM, systems engineering & requirements management, Program management, materials management, and integrations with ERP platforms.
- Work with Business teams to define processes and requirements as they relate to scope processes.
- Work with IT Security function to ensure PLM data has required levels of security and protection of company s business information.
- Perform basic mockups, configurations on the Siemens Teamcenter platform to facilitate future state solutioning workshops and align with out-of-the-box capabilities to minimize customization effort.
- Partner with PLM COE Architecture and Operations leaders to define hand over criteria and supportability of deployed solutions. Manage external stakeholder engagement and facilitation in collaboration with business leadership.
- Utilize experience with Teamcenter PLM architecture, implementation, and support for core product development processes, developing and implementing strategic business initiatives in PLM and ERP domain, defining timelines in accordance with overall PMO project timeline, managing customer expectations, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Support various user issues like Teamcenter (TC) client setup, connection issues, data and process lock issues, TC-CAD integration issues, import/export issues.
- Facilitating and leading technical and business solution discussions with cross-functional teams based in multiple countries.
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Teamcenter Solution Architect who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Teamcenter Solution Architect would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- 10+ years of experience in a related engineering occupation.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with Operating Systems Windows & Linux (Red Hat Linux Enterprise, SuSe Linux), Databases (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL), Web Tiers (JBoss/WildFly/Tomcat/WebSphere/WebLogic/IIS), Networks, Computer Systems and Storage Devices.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with HP N Class Server and Windows Server Platform hardware.
- Required experience in implementing (software installation) and upgrading complex Teamcenter environments.
- Hands on experiences in working on ESB architecture patterns to perform integration between Teamcenter PLM and other applications. Define Service interface using WSDL and expose services using SOAP/HTTP or JSON/HTTP protocol to send requests to read or change data.
- Experience with relevant software development standards such as Teamcenter BMIDE, Active Workspace, Java, or HTML5; and experience with Agile development methodologies and execution.
- Previous experience with Enterprise PLM, ERP or MES systems.
- Expertise in latest active workspace versions customization and configuration.
- Strong written and communication skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Need to be a self-starter with a calm demeanor in challenging situations.

Minimum Education: Bachelor s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering (any) or a related field
Minimum Experience: 10+ years of experience in a related engineering occupation
