Position Summary
The Assembly Team Operator is responsible for the operation of equipment, product segregation, quality inspection, disposition, and documentation along with manual product assembly as required. Perform basic preventive maintenance, changeover, and troubleshooting on equipment; ensure compliance with SOPs and specifications; perform data collection and product dispositioning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Segregate and disposition products based on equipment and product inspections.
Conduct shop floor data collection tasks.
Perform manual assembly and product rework tasks as required.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformances relating to products and processes. Write nonconformances and holds when required.
Scan product into MRP system; perform testing using computer; create traceability labels.
Initiate and recommend or provide solutions to quality or safety concerns through designated communication channels.
Ensure compliance with company policies and business practices, including FDA regulations, GMP, and ISO requirements.
Assist with the training of new Operators.
Perform chemical mixing operation.
Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
Model company values and support strategic initiatives.
This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, good business practices, and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations, and statutes related to the site).
Engage others, promote and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Work Environment
Work environment can range from a clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy, and with moving equipment.
Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, and bilateral motion involving hands, wrists, and upper body.
Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge/use of computers.
Adequate fine motor hand coordination is required.
Sound judgment for use in product disposition.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Education requirements may be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience.
Less than 1 year of experience; manufacturing background preferred.
