Job Description: Commercial Lines Insurance Customer Service Representative
Position Overview:
As a Commercial Lines Insurance Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service to clients with commercial insurance needs. You will act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers, handling inquiries, policy changes, claims processing, and ensuring overall client satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Communication:
· Serve as the main point of contact for commercial insurance clients, addressing inquiries via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
· Provide timely and accurate responses to client questions regarding policy coverage, premiums, claims procedures, and other insurance-related matters.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique business needs and offering tailored insurance solutions.
2. Policy Management:
· Process new policy applications, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
· Review policy documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
· Assist clients with policy changes, updates, and additions, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and filed appropriately.
3. Claims Assistance:
· Guide clients through the claims process, including initial reporting, documentation submission, and follow-up with insurance carriers.
· Coordinate communication between clients, adjusters, and other parties involved in the claims resolution process.
· Monitor claims status and provide regular updates to clients, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
4. Risk Assessment and Coverage Recommendations:
· Conduct thorough assessments of clients' businesses to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
· Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate policy terms, coverage limits, and premiums based on clients' risk profiles and insurance needs.
· Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new insurance products to offer informed advice to clients.
5. Documentation and Record Keeping:
· Maintain accurate and organized client files, including policy documents, correspondence, and claims records.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding record keeping and data protection.
· Generate reports, invoices, and other documents as needed for clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or related field preferred.
· Previous experience in commercial insurance customer service or related role preferred.
· Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, policies, and procedures.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and insurance carriers.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance industry software applications.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications/Licenses:
· Possession of relevant insurance industry certifications (e.g., Property and Casualty Producer License) preferred but not required.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
