Overview:
Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Team Member Services, the Team Member Services Coordinator provides daily administrative support and recordkeeping functions for the Team Member Services Department and Auvil Fruit Company. This position provides support with recruiting, hiring events, new hire onboarding, benefits administration, training, and employee relations in support of Auvil Custom Farming Services and Gee Whiz II.
Duties:
- Support TEAM MEMBERs, aid and assist with all phases of human resources activity.
- Provide initial screening of job applicants and monitor the recruiting process to ensure applicants are progressing.
- Schedule meetings and interviews as requested.
- Assist the Team Member Services Specialists in scheduling and preparing for hiring events.
- Serve as the primary contact for new employee onboarding.
- Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files. Assist with new-employee background checks and drug screening.
- Assist with processing of terminations.
- Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Assist with processing required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Aid in translation of various documents (policies, memos, benefits information, etc.) from English to Spanish for dissemination to all Auvil Fruit employees.
- Create basic spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and Word documents as directed.
- Participate in weekly HR team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other office machines.
This job occasionally works in outdoor or agricultural settings where the employee may be exposed to high noise levels, extreme weather conditions, fumes or particulates in the air.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Some flexibility in hours may be allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience with Human Resource functions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Quality customer service skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associates Degree.
- Verified work experience in local agriculture
