```Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join Eyecare Medical Group as a Team Leader/Patient Services Representative.
Team leaders and supervisors focus primarily on the individuals that make up the team. Team leaders train, set goals, and align the team’s work with the needs of the patient, physicians, management and other stakeholders. This role is responsible for balancing the needs of a team with the needs of upper management and, in consideration for how the team’s work aligns with the overall company goals and patient care. A team leader reports obstacles on the horizon and communicates with key individuals about changes in the plans. Team Leaders ensure that team members are trained and coached properly throughout their work together and evaluates individual performance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Provides day-to-day leadership and direction to the team, serves as the liaison to the Clinic or ASC.
- Supervises and provides direct oversight of the team members daily.
- In this dual role, you will serve as the "Float", Patient Services Representative when coverage is needed.
- Conducts routine and annual performance feedback, reviews, and planning for development.
- Plans, creates and manages the team’s working schedule and assignments.
- Ensures that team assignments and use of resources effectively balance individual skillsets and strengths and encourages work that best utilizes the individual’s highest level of training and education.
- Communicates effectively with Patient Service Representative work teams and includes: daily huddles, communication logs, team meetings and email as appropriate and necessary.
- Supports the team with completing unique requests from physicians, leadership or another member of the larger EMG team.
- Drafts, provides input and recommends changes to policies and procedures as well as protocol development.
- Runs point on the day-to-day coverage needs.
- Plans and coordinates onboarding and training for new hires.
- Drafts new hire schedules for review with the Manager.
- Partners with the Training Team to create and update training materials.
- Completes skill evaluations based on new hire, 3 months, 9 months, and ongoing training milestones.
Work environment
1. Daily operation of various office equipment: fax machine, telephone & voice mail operating system, stationary/laptop computer, e-mail system, copier.
2. Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality in the performance of duties.
4. Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with members of the EMG practice.
6. Ability to participate in early and after-hours meetings.
7. Ability to travel between offices is required. (Portland/Saco)
qualifications
- High school graduate or high school equivalency credential.
- Minimum 1 year experience performing medical office scheduling or related experience in a health care setting.
- Previous leadership experience helpful.
- Strong computer and technical skills including but not limited to: electronic medical records systems, Microsoft Office and email.
- Builds rapport face-to-face and over the phone in order to deliver excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with the team, physicians, managers and other staff in a professional and caring manner.
- Maintains patient confidentiality per state and federal and practice regulations.
- Performs responsibilities and make well-reasoned decisions, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm in highly stressful daily situations.
- Projects and maintain a professional image.
- Self-motivated and completes work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.

Pay: $26.57 - $34.00 per hour
