Team Lead – Pick Pack
Summary
Rowman & Littlefield is looking for a Team Leader in the Pick Pack department to assist the supervisor in coordinating activities for warehouse workers and equipment operators. Candidates who will qualify for a Team Leader position are goal-oriented and possess a demonstrated ability to work independently and alongside department employees to assist the supervisor in achieving organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Review all Replenishment runs, tag out runs coordinate, and review assignments, work with a member of repack on shags and assign workers to specific areas or equipment to meet deadlines.
- Act as a liaison for the supervisor, communicate with all levels of management to address and/or correct issues in person, through email or over the phone.
- Monitor and ensure that all replenishment runs, and bulk work is processed in a timely manner to ensure we complete daily runs.
- The ability to Log in and Operate Entivity, Clippership, Print and Apply and Quick Close computers.
- Change labels in Print and Apply machines, change supplies in tape machines and packing paper machines at Quick Close stations.
- Troubleshoot when the conveyor stops. Check weight scales to ensure they are always zeroed out.
- Coordinate with Supervisor on all supplies that need ordered for the area.
- Confirm Reach work.
- Processing CWO orders from Receiving/Special Projects.
- Review all Pick Runs, coordinate, and review assignments, work with supervisor to assign workers to specific areas or equipment to Monitor all floor picking and bulk work is processed in a timely manner to ensure we complete daily runs.
- Act as a liaison for the supervisor, communicate with all levels of management to address and/or correct issues in person, through email or over the phone.
- Train, plan, assign and direct the work of the pick pack department employees, and assist the supervisor in addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Rolling equipment experience to included electrical jack, order picker and reach truck.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as having a general knowledge of or ability to learn all Bookmaster screens and functions.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally and clearly through verbal and written communication.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
