About the Job

As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Team Leader in the Operating Room (OR) is responsible for providing leadership to frontline staff in collaboration with the Clinical Manager, for the ENT service line. This role includes both clinical (intraoperative) & administrative time. A successful Team Leader has excellent communication skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, flexible with changes, understands & values diverse perspectives & collaborates with the surgical team overall.

Shift:

8 or 10-hour shifts options available within the needs of the business.

Highlighted Responsibilities

  • Management & clinical care of patients from newborn to 18 years old intraoperatively alongside surgical & anesthesia teams in the Operating Room for the ENT service line
  • Service Line ENT (other service lines TBD)
  • Ensuring the safety & advocacy of pediatric patients while in the OR
  • Services include Dental, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Oral & Maxillofacial, General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Transplant, Neuro & Bariatricsurgery.
  • Provides daily operational management including staffing/scheduling.
  • Performance management/evaluation, coaching/mentoring & development of team members
  • Coordinates/collaborates with OR educator for orientation, cross-training & educational needs
  • Participates in regulatory, quality & risk management compliance
  • Contributes to the department's financial objectives through the effective management of resources.

Qualifications

Minimum 3years' RN experience in the Operating Room required, ENT experience required
Preferred: Nursing Leadership experience, such as Team Leader, Charge Nurse
Education: Minimum BSN required
BLS required.
