Spotter is excited to add a skilled and passionate Backend Software Engineer to our dynamic team. The Backend Developer will contribute to the development of robust and scalable software projects, improve current projects, and work cross-functionally to continue providing cutting-edge solutions to our partners and customers.

Responsibilities:
- Develop software in a test-driven and agile development environment
- Prepare specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
- Prepare software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Organize documentation and maintenance of software functionality
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
- Provide support and consulting on software systems usage
- Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards
- Lead a team of software engineers through tasks, tickets, and projects
Required:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or a similar field Additional years of experience may satisfy this requirement
- 2+ years Team Lead experience
- 7+ years experience in backend software development
- Experience with a Linux development environment
- 5+ years experience MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Docker
- 5+ years experience Node JS, React JS, and Express
- 2+ years experience Amazon Web Services (AWS)Elastic Container Services, CloudFormation, EC2, and Route53
- Experience mentoring junior developers and leading software teams
- Live and have work authorization within the US
Preferred:
- Experience with Golang
- Experience using Svelte GUI framework
- Experience with Bash scripting
- Familiarity with various network communications protocols
- Familiarity with enterprise systems involving fail-over and redundancy
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Salary: 90,000 - 120,000 /year
