Team Driver

Altman Plants is a family owned and privately held company recognized for innovation, marketing, high quality products and creative sales programs.

We are looking for an experienced Team Drivers, with dedicated delivery points, dedicated equipment to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

Will consider recent grads looking to start a long-term career.

• Expectation to be home every week, 1-2 days
• Assigned routes and drops are to company-owned facilities

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly

• Some overnights are required
• No recent moving or driving violations

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic and weather conditions)
• Valid truck driving license

Compensation:

• Opportunity to earn approximately $95,000/year
• .75 per mile

Experience:
