HAS Inc. is actively looking for a motivated, organized, reliable, part-time LPN in Boise to oversee the health and care of patients. This is a management position working with adults who have developmental disabilities. The work is challenging and fast-paced, but also very rewarding.

LPN Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, track, and maintain client history and records of medications; record any new data
  • Maintain the charting of medication (MAR)
  • Develop care plans for participants
  • Administer medication, including some injections if state certification allows; monitor medication doses and client response
  • Supervise Direct Care Employees and provide with them appropriate tasks and training
  • Provide emotional support to participants and their families/guardians; listen to concerns and feedback
  • Take instruction from and report updates to the Nursing Director
  • Report any unusual or drastic changes in patient behavior/symptoms; seek help from superiors when needed
  • Follow state and federal-mandated standards and procedures
  • Schedule and attend medical and psychiatric appointments
  • Work collaboratively with medical professionals and pharmacies

LPN Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completed state-approved LPN education program; current LPN license to practice
  • Previous clinical and/or healthcare experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite; adept at data entry
  • Understanding of healthcare state standards and procedures
  • High level of patience, empathy, and compassion
  • Excellent observation skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with supervising individuals
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently from direct supervision
  • Mental health experience is a plus

Monday - Friday
8am - 5pm
40 hours
Some on-call hours as needed
