Job Summary
The Teaching Faculty and Co-Director Programs in Infection Prevention (part-time) will be responsible for: 1) teaching one online, three-credit course or course section per year, specifically EOH 655 Infection Prevention and Control in the Healthcare Environment, or as otherwise assigned by the Chair, 2) directing or co-directing the Master of Science degree program in Infection Prevention and Control and the Certificate in Infectious Disease Prevention and Control, 3) advising and mentoring students, and 4) serving on departmental or school committees as assigned by the Chair or Dean; all in accordance with the school's Faculty Workload Policy.
Essential Functions
- Direct or co-direct graduate-level degree and certificate programs related to the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
- Develop and instruct courses on infectious diseases and prevention and control strategies in institutional settings.
- Serve as mentor and advisor to students enrolled in relevant degree and certificate program.
- Serve on committees or task forces at the request of the department Chair or school Dean.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health-Hospital and Molecular Epidemiology or Equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
- Certification: Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Active in professional organizations such as Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology and Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America
