The University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences, is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Professor, non-tenure track.
Duties & Responsibilities- Teach medical lectures in microanatomy, gross anatomy, cell biology and developmental biology, histology labs, and PCL facilitation in the medical school curriculum.
- Teach undergraduate human anatomy & physiology lecture and lab courses.
- Teach graduate lectures in cell biology, anatomy, and physiology in the graduate curriculum.
- Contribute to written reports and other documents as needed by the department.
- BIMD 221 (Anatomy & Physiology) and BIMD 2212L (Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory) and BIMD 492 Peer Teaching, in person fall and spring semester.
- Medical lectures, histology labs, graduate lectures, and PCL facilitation in person fall and spring semester.
- Serve on department and SMHS committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ph.D. or terminal degree at the time of hire with expertise in anatomy, cell biology, or physiology commensurate with rank.
- Experience with teaching at the level of college or university.
- Willingness to participate in medical and graduate education.
- Knowledge of evidence-based educational practice in adult learning.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications- Experience with online learning management systems (blackboard).
- Publications or equivalent evidence of expertise in the areas of developmental biology, histology, anatomy, and cell biology.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
