The teacher's assistant will work in a unique fast-paced behavioral health facility center; which involves working with children and adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.The Teaching Assistant will play a very important role of keeping organization among students, documentation, and classroom management throughout the day.
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides reinforcement to students in small and large groups
- Plans and provides modified lessons under direct supervision of classroom teacher.
- Prepares materials for teachers and students, as requested.
- Meet with teachers for curriculum discussions, as requested.
- Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student.
- Perform administrative duties daily.

This full time position requires 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday position located in Hoffman, Estates, IL. Qualifications
- BS/BA four your degree preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need.
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology (Microsoft Office and SalesForce) preferred.
- Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total education program.
