St. Robert Catholic School is looking for reliable, innovative, energetic, personable candidates to assist teachers in the classroom. This teacher will work one on one and in small groups with students who need more reading/math instruction, IEP eligible students, and students with 504 plans. The goal for students needing resource at St. Robert is to help them become independent learners, to be performing at grade level in reading and math. The resource/interventionist must also be willing to work with all grade levels, with teachers and parents.
Candidate qualifications and requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from an accredited university, a valid Michigan teaching certification, must pass a criminal background check and complete Protecting God’s Children program, must have a strong working knowledge of the Faith, demonstrated ability with computers and other educational technology, committed to life-long learning, and the ability to communicate effectively with parents. Special Education endorsements desired but not required.
