Job Overview
The Teacher, World Languages (DOI), will plan and implement an instructional program and provide related educational services for students in assigned grade levels.The incumbent will manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and modify instructional activities as required as well as carry out a variety of student monitoring and controls activities. Any teacher who will coach a UIL sport will also provide athletic services related to that athletic sport and the athletic program.

Responsibilities:
If the position is tied to coaching a UIL sport, the following essential duties and responsibilities are applicable to coaching:
- Perform coaching duties as assigned as well as other duties required for the smooth, efficient operation of a successful athletic program
- Possess knowledge and adheres to UIL rules and regulations
- Assist the Athletic Department with budget, schedules, care/use of facilities
- Communicate with the Athletic Department on a regular basi

- Bachelor’s degree
- Course work in the subject/program to which assigned and in curriculum and instructional methodology preferred
- Valid Driver’s license with CDL Certification preferred if coaching a UIL sport
- Teaching experience or experience working with children preferred
- Coaching experience preferred if coaching a UIL sport
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication in the assigned language
- Demonstrated knowledge of public school mission, goals and organization
- Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs
- Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, in English and the assigned languag
