Teacher Of The Visually Impaired (Tvi)

Fox Staffing Network works closely with Wake County school districts to help children in need of Therapy services. The primary purpose of The TVI will be to provide therapy to children at their school or home setting. The TVI is expected to create and carry out treatment plans and evaluate the needs of students. Student needs from the districts can range anywhere from 30m/wk up to 25hrs/wk between the hours of 8:30a-4p M-F. Student availability for home therapy hours may be extended with prior approval. Job Qualifications:

• Must currently hold North Carolina State certification as a Special Education Teacher

• Must hold Teacher of the Blind & Visually Impaired certification

• Ability to modify activities and materials to meet the needs of your student based on the IEP and assessment

Additional Responsibilities:

• Implements programs based on assessment of The student

• Coordinates the child’s educational goals with other providers, therapists and teachers

• Based on the IEP and assessments, implements programs to address the student’s needs in functional living skills areas

• Promotes independence f or the student

• Maintains daily log notes
