TBRI Practitioner / Court Liaison

CASA of Larimer County (CLC) is a nonprofit organization comprised of three programs: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Family Connections (FC) and Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®). CASA provides volunteer advocacy to children involved in dependency and neglect cases and FC provides supervised visitation, safe custody exchanges, supportive case management, and parenting education. In addition to direct services, TBRI® is integrated throughout CLC's programs and is an evidence based, trauma-informed intervention. Across all programs, CLC's mission is to advocate for safe, nurturing, and permanent connections to family and community so children who have experienced abuse and neglect have the opportunity to thrive.

Position Overview: The TBRI® Practitioner / Court Liaison is responsible for delivering and supporting TBRI® programming. TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. The TBRI® Practitioner upholds best practices and is culturally sensitive. This person is also responsible for working with caregivers, children, and volunteers in the TBRI® Caregiver Package (CGP) and TBRI® Roadmap to Family Empowerment (RFE). This position requires some evening and weekend hours.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures fidelity to TBRI® model in all practices
  • Supports coordination and scheduling of TBRI® programming
  • Responsible for delivery of TBRI® CGP for biological parents, foster parents, and other caregivers
  • Maintains presence in court and supports trauma informed court initiatives and projects
  • Provides resources and regulation supports for children and families in court
  • Supports systemic efforts to expand TBRI® in the courts, child welfare, and community
  • Provides intake and exit evaluations with all participants
  • Coaches parents and caregivers one-on-one in Roadmap to Family Empowerment when requested by Program Manager
  • Trains and supports TBRI® Coaches to work with caregivers and children
  • Supports coordination and implementation of ongoing TBRI® supports and Nurture Groups
  • Ensures strict confidentiality of agency and client information
  • Accurately collects and inputs data and keeps client files updated
  • Accurately and efficiently tracks data and information for reporting grants, fund development, and internal purposes
  • At the request of the Program Manager, may support other programs through individual coaching of staff, volunteers, and caregivers to help them better understand trauma behaviors, and to equip them with tools to use in the moment
  • Recognized as a TBRI® Practitioner by KPICD and upholds all expectations of the role
  • Supports and participates in CLC events and awareness efforts
  • Actively works to build and maintain positive relationships and participates in collaborative efforts with community agencies in consultation with TBRI® Program Manager

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALITIES

  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish / English)
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human development or human services related field, or commensurate experience.
  • 1-3 years working experience in child welfare, mental health or permanency services.
  • Experienced TBRI Practitioner (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable about complex developmental trauma and trauma-associated behavioral and developmental delays.
  • Effective coach, trainer, and advocate.
  • Passionate about strengthening families.
  • Ability to build relationships with people from various experiences and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Knowledge of the juvenile court and child welfare systems or similar governmental systems.
  • Organized with effective time management skills.

COMPENSATION: $46,000-$48,000 annually
