You will become an expert in a medical profession that is recession and pandemic proof. There will always be growing demand for our services as there are few CPA firms in the nation who do what we do!

We don’t do audits or a lot of the super high-stress public accounting or tax work. What we do specialize in is a hands-on, teaching and guiding approach, helping veterinarians by providing the information they need to flourish financially to better serve animals and their owners.

We only prepare tax returns for our business clients, so unlike most CPA firms, our tax season is NOT crazy busy!

This is what you’ll do:

·          Prepare and review business and personal income tax returns

·          Tax planning and consulting with clients to advise on tax strategies

·          Prepare/review accounting/client write-up and financial statements

·          Consult with clients to help them understand their financial statements and guide them toward greater productivity and profitability

·          Assist in managing client engagements and work assignments

·          Special projects as needed

This is what you’ll need:

·          Eight years’ experience (minimum) preparing individual and business income tax returns

·          Excellent communication skills to help clients and team gain your insight

·          Good time management (veterinarians are busy so we don’t waste their time)

·          Ability to track and meet multiple deadlines (you will work with several clients simultaneously)

·          To be detail oriented (we work to avoid the cost of nonconformance to ourselves and our clients)

·          Accounting degree, MBA, CPA or Candidate

·          Prior public accounting firm experience a must
