Tax Senior - Commercial Tax Services

We are looking for a Tax Senior to join our Commercial Tax Services (CTS) team in our Florham Park office. Our Commercial Tax Services group serves a diverse clientele that includes investment partnerships, as well as closely-held and entrepreneurial businesses. As a CTS Senior you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. Responsibilities:

• Preparation and light review of partnership and corporate tax returns
• Tax estimates, extensions and quarterly projections
• State & local tax compliance and research
• Willingness to be trained in and/or prepare FIN 48 analysis
• Work directly with Supervisors, Managers, and Partners
• Review tax work of staff and interns and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
• Research technical matters to resolve issues
• Build relationships with clients, review tax information received and obtain open items
• Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, tax work and wrap-up
• Comply with the firm’s policies and procedures regarding tax assignments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a mid-sized accounting firm
• CPA preferred or exam in progress
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess and XCM is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Experience with federal, state and local tax returns (Partnerships, C-Corp, S-Corp)
• Ability to multitask, communicate, and maintain relationships with clients
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Must have excellent client service skills
• Problem-solving and research skills
• A willingness to diversify knowledge in specialized areas
