We are looking for a Tax Senior to join our Commercial Tax Services (CTS) team in our Florham Park office. Our Commercial Tax Services group serves a diverse clientele that includes investment partnerships, as well as closely-held and entrepreneurial businesses. As a CTS Senior you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. Responsibilities:
- Preparation and light review of partnership and corporate tax returns
- Tax estimates, extensions and quarterly projections
- State & local tax compliance and research
- Willingness to be trained in and/or prepare FIN 48 analysis
- Work directly with Supervisors, Managers, and Partners
- Review tax work of staff and interns and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
- Research technical matters to resolve issues
- Build relationships with clients, review tax information received and obtain open items
- Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, tax work and wrap-up
- Comply with the firm’s policies and procedures regarding tax assignments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a mid-sized accounting firm
- CPA preferred or exam in progress
- Knowledge of CCH Axcess and XCM is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with federal, state and local tax returns (Partnerships, C-Corp, S-Corp)
- Ability to multitask, communicate, and maintain relationships with clients
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Must have excellent client service skills
- Problem-solving and research skills
- A willingness to diversify knowledge in specialized areas
