Tax Manager

Bring your leadership and tax skills to our awesome team! We are looking for a dedicated Tax Manager with a minimum of 3 years of experience within a public accounting firm. This position is a mix of client-based working of a book of business and managing staff. You'll play a key role in overseeing our tax department and ensuring that our clients are in compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. You'll also be responsible for providing tax advice and guidance to our clients, and for developing and implementing tax strategies to help them minimize their tax liability.

Your keys to success are

• Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and S-corporations
• Handle federal and state income tax audits
• Prepare tax research and tax projections
• Anticipate, identify and resolve complex project issues
• Manage department/staff budgets and monitor realization, utilization, and accounts receivable progress
• Review work of tax staff
• Support the partner team in identifying and planning the development of strategy, objectives and budgets
• Engage in ongoing personal development

You meet the following qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA license
• Minimum of 3 years of experience at a public accounting firm in a tax-related position
• Proven success in maintaining positive working relationships with clients and coworkers
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in managing a book of business
• Strong organizational, writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
