What you will do:
Gain broad exposure to tax including experience in reviewing tax provision, preparing federal corporate (C and S), multi-state, individual, and partnership returns.
Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax saving strategies.
Prepare and review income tax returns and contact affiliated personnel to investigate relevant facts and documents where needed.
Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with quality, timely and responsive services/work products in line with Firm processes and procedures.
Use Firm resources to research and demonstrate an understanding of complex tax concepts.
Discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management.
Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations.
Prepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
Contribute recommendations and implement plans to assist with making quality decisions in complex areas.
Assist in the development and training of interns.
Become knowledgeable of computer software used in the Tax department including CCH Prosystems, iChannel, XCM, Sharefile, and Sureprep.
What you bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
2-3 years of public accounting experience
*Preferred: Consideration will be given to candidates in the Atlanta or Chattanooga area who are comfortable working in a hybrid model.
