SalaryWe have an immediate opening for an experienced Tax Specialist for part-time to full-time employment with flexible hours for the tax season. Strong customer service skills and income tax preparation experience a must. Applicant must be a “people person” with solid tax preparation experience, committed to accuracy and detail.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1+ years experience in a tax office
- Experience completing individual and corporate tax returns
- Experience with tax software preferably Drake tax software
- Strong customer service and sales experience to build working relationships and increase client retention
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner
- Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Computer skills and Excel experience
- Must be eligible to obtain PTIN
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Enrolled Agent or CPA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Bilingual preferred but not required (Spanish / English / Portuguese)
Duties Include:
- Preparing income tax returns with accuracy and completeness
- Conducting face to face interviews with clients
- Calling customers and potential customers as necessary
- Working various hours including Saturdays
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 55 per week
