Position Overview:
- The Tax Associate will play a key role in supporting our tax department by ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing accurate and timely tax returns, and providing valuable insights to our clients. This position requires a candidate with a solid understanding of tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in tax planning initiatives to minimize clients' tax liabilities.
- Provide proactive advice on potential tax implications and strategies to optimize clients' financial positions.
- Assist in responding to tax audit inquiries and preparing necessary documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
