Objectives
The Taproom Teamat Edit Beer Co. is focused on providing exceptional service to all visitors to the Edit Beer Co. taproom. You’ll have an opportunity to combine your passion for craft beer with top-notch customer service skills to create a welcoming and memorable experience for all visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to all taproom guests
- Answer menu questions and make suggestions tailored to a customer’s preferences
- Have an in-depth knowledge of brewery offerings and an interest and ability to discuss flavor profiles for each menu option
- Maintain a clean and organized service area
- Communicate with customers and fellow teammates in a respectful and thoughtful manner
- Offer assistance to fellow taproom staff when needed and be willing to call for help when you need it
- Keep a positive attitude in a work environment with a varying pace
- Promote non-draft beer brewery offerings to customers including but not limited to merchandise, packaged beer, and crowlers
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- 6+ months experience in a fast-paced counter service role. Bartending and/or beer serving experience preferred
- NC ABC Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Training Certificate
- Cicerone Certified Beer Server or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment
- Ability to maintain a balanced cash drawer
- Efficient use of Arryved POS system
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience interacting with a variety of customers and an ability to remain calm in challenging situations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stay mentally alert for entirety of shift
- Ability to store and quickly recall information and instructions
- Ability to work safely and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all staff and customers

Compensation
A base pay of $5/hr plus a share of the pooled tips. Estimated total compensation of $15 - $35/hr.
