We are looking for a talented Mechanic to join our team specializing in Tank and Lube Maintenance for our Cummins Recon Plant in North Charleston, South Carolina.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Providing consistency regarding coolant level concentrations, coolant fluid levels, cleaning bath solution levels, basic machine lubrication, oil tank maintenance, both lubrication and hydraulic fluid.
• As part of a formal skilled trades training program, assists site Mechanical skilled trades to learn and develop mechanical skills in a manufacturing environment under direct guidance. 
• Apprentice will be required to successfully complete, and document specified classes and a minimum quantity of on-the-job training hours.
• Learns and understand the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
• Minimal or no work experience required.
• An understanding of basic hand tools.
• Experience working with cars and engines.
• Previous manufacturing is a plus, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
