SHIFT: Day Shift
SUMMARY: The basic function of this position is to use tally machine to accurately input species, grade, and footage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Responsible for following the Job Safety Analysis guidelines to ensure safe operations
- Enter the board footage and board species as it is called out by the lumber inspector using a tally machine
- Learn the set up, functions and operations of the tally machine
- Learn how to hand tally to be able to tally manually when necessary
- Use arrow bar to unhang, push, and pull boards to unjam
- Continuously maintain a steady flow of lumber transferring from infeed to lumber inspector by operating a set of controls/foot pedals
- Clean up activities using an industrial broom and shovel
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Computer Skills a plus. Lock out/tag out training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening
- Positive and Verifiable Work History
