The Talent Solutions Sr. Advisor will be a key contributor in a variety of Talent Development initiatives. With a specialist approach, the Sr. Advisor could focus on facilitation of individual, team and organization-level Talent Solutions and functional Leadership Development initiatives. This role could also focus on deployment of functionally specific solutions that drive employee engagement, inclusion and diversity, and other talent priorities like Talent Planning. Lastly, the Sr. Advisor may focus on the execution of consistent processes and tools that drive efficiencies for our clients. The Talent Solutions Sr. Advisor will provide support across CCI as directed by their leader, the Sr. Manager Talent Solutions and Enablement. This role supports the development of leadership pipelines and leadership competencies to cultivate the Cox culture and build leaders for the future.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Individual, Team and Org Solutions
- Facilitates functionally focused leadership and professional development programs and learning experiences including in-person and virtual.
- Contributes to leadership development curriculum or identifies appropriate external partner to perform delivery.
- Provides expert delivery of individual and team interventions to resolve team transformation opportunities. Leverages tools such as Hogan, Birkman, StrengthFinders, DiSC, etc.
- Serves as a coach and team building consultant to leadership teams.
- Either leads the effort or contributes to the creation of self-led leadership and professional development resources through virtual asynchronous vehicles.
- Curates learning through Learn@Cox to build capabilities of teams and organizations.
- Research existing professional, leadership and executive development offerings and makes recommendations for use in functional-specific learning academies.
Talent Program Execution
- Works as an adjunct member of project-based solutions teams to execute organizational development, talent development/management, and I&D solutions as identified by the Talent Solutions Managers.
- Provides project support for execution of various Talent Programs.
Program Management
- Partners with the Talent Solutions team to ensure more complex customer-centric programs and initiatives succeed in advancing our business.
- Manages the tracking of functional Talent Planning outcomes that drive action. Collaborates with Talent Practices for consistent sharing of those outcomes/progress with our functional clients' Senior Teams and HRBPs.
- Liaises with the HR Partnerships and Deployment team to represent our clients' needs and ensures tracking platforms and dashboards that allow our People Solutions partners up to the minute views of workflow are available.
- Builds systems for knowledge sharing including collaboration tools and forums, and resource filing conventions.
- Conducts regular touchpoints with the Talent Solutions Managers to drive adoption of common tools and templates.
- Advises Director Talent Solutions on project status and actions needed.
- Oversees budget and sourcing management to include costing, tracking of status and resolving cost issues for large-scale programs. Manages the sourcing process for external partners related to any function-specific solution.
- Supports special projects as assigned.
Other
- May consult with business leaders and HRBPs on leadership/organizational development, pipeline development, and I&D needs to develop functional talent strategy.
- Uses organization diagnostic models such as Performance Consulting, Skills and Competency Gap Analysis, Human Performance Technology, and action research to isolate root causes to identify effective solutions. Partners closely with project team members and leads to deliver comprehensive recommendations to business function talent segments.
- Conducts leading practices research on organization models and benchmark studies for input into Talent Solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (HR, Organizational Development, Communications, or similar degree) and 4 years' experience in a related field (Human Resources, Talent Management, Leadership/Professional Development or Organizational Consulting). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field
- 4 years related work experience in consulting and facilitating leadership/organizational development experiences in a business environment.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills including the ability to flex and adapt planned experience to reflect needs of the participants.
- Experience in leading leadership/organizational development experiences
- Demonstrated experience and exposure to multiple aspects of Human Resources including but not limited to talent development, talent management, succession planning, organizational development, leadership development.
- Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities against deadlines
- Solid and in-depth knowledge and understanding of Leadership and Management theories, inclusion and equity principles, competency models, development strategies and content with linkage to Talent Management strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively across divisions, functions, and levels.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and discernment within broadly defined policies and practices.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to adapt to different levels within the organization.
- Knowledge of various types of learning evaluation methods and tools.
- Strong desktop skills in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Requires strong knowledge of adult learning and leadership development principles
- Excellent project management and organization skills, able to handle multiple projects (small and large) with conflicting priorities and deliver projects on time with excellence
- Excellent ability to build concise and clear presentations for a variety of audiences
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communications skills
- Able to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Preferred
- Previous experience with consulting services firm or internal consulting organization specializing in leadership, organization development, or I&D.
- Master's degree in Leadership, Organizational Development, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or MBA a plus.
- Experience in management level leadership role in order to apply leadership development principles.
- Experience in leading enterprise-wide leadership/organizational development experiences.
- Certification in assessment instruments, i.e., Birkman, Hogan, StrengthsFinders, DiSC, EQ 360, etc.
- Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction and take initiative in pursuing responsibilities.
- Ability to perform effectively under competing and/or conflicting demands.
