POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Talent Management Process Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing/managing processes for CAC (Common Access Card) issuance for Government employees and contractors, as well as assisting with Tasker Management efforts across the Program Executive Office. The Talent Management Process Specialist’s initial duties will consist of helping stand up a revised CAC issuance process and be involved in the design of relevant procedures and processes. Once the process is fully designed and operationalized, the Talent Management Process Specialist’s primary focus will be to support the monitoring of efficient and timely onboarding and offboarding of contractors and ensuring that relevant metrics are collected.

 

As a Talent Management Process Specialist, you will primarily report to the Talent Management Service Owner and collaborate with the Talent Management team as well as operations teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in onboarding/in-processing or process design, particularly within the Federal government context, is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and exhibit a high level of professionalism in their interactions with stakeholders. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently, take imitative, and overcome obstacles with tenacity.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Design

  • Establish communication channels, methods and cadence, business processes and business rules for revised CAC-issuance process
  • Design CAC tracker for metric collection
  • Design the CAC metric data collection process

 

Mailbox Configuration & Monitoring

  • Capture emails and monitor processes for CAC issuance for individuals
  • Capture emails and monitor processes for CAC return for individuals
  • Ensure the status of all individuals’ CACs are properly reflected in CAC management system
  • Follow up with individuals as needed to ensure all relevant CAC/onboarding inputs are received from Government employees and contractors

Metric Collection, Reporting and Analytics

  • Oversee and ensure proper collection of relevant metrics
  • Analyze and report out on metrics to proper Government leads
  • Reflect on analysis of metrics to continuously refine process through implementing changes and new initiatives

       Tasker Management

  • Track recurring Taskers across the Program Executive Office; collaborate with stakeholders to gather content and compile for review
  • Draft and review Taskers, ensuring content is compliant with policy and all relevant information is provided; proofread for correctness
  • Attend weekly Action Officer meetings to provide status updates

KEY REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Government Clearance (Public Trust, Secret, or Top Secret) preferred, but not required
  • Holder of an active DHA CAC preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Talent Management, process management or process redesign preferred
  • Familiarity with Government employee & contractor onboarding and best practices within the Federal Government context
  • Familiarity with ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) and/or DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel) and teaming tools (e.g., Teams, Trello) preferred
  • Government consulting experience (specifically with a global consulting firm) preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Operations, Business Administration, or related field is preferred 
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with poise, tact and to maintain confidentiality at all times and exhibit good judgment  
  • Ability to work independently, to take initiative and to overcome obstacles
