Job description

We are seeking a Talent & Culture Recruiter to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, the Talent & Culture Recruiter will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent to support our company's growth and success. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the construction material supply and general contractor industries, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in full-cycle recruitment.
Responsibilities - What Will You Do?

  • Support NESL's overall talent acquisition and workforce planning strategy through professional execution of the recruiting and hiring plan.
  • Source, identify, and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, industry events, referrals, and networking events.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Develop and maintain a strong candidate pipeline to ensure a consistent pool of potential candidates for current and future positions.
  • Provide timely feedback to candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Participate in recruitment-related events, job fairs, and conferences to showcase the company's opportunities and attract top talent.
  • Create compelling job descriptions and engaging recruitment materials that reflect NESL's culture and values. Diagnose inefficiencies and develop improvements to our recruitment process as well as in our applicant tracking system.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools to maintain accurate records, track progress, and generate reports on recruitment metrics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry associations, educational institutions, and other relevant organizations to enhance the company's reputation and visibility.
  • Develop engaging social media content to drive traffic to our social media pages.
  • Analyze and react to statistical trends to maximize our digital recruitment efforts.
  • Assist in the onboarding and orientation processes.
  • This role will involve a mix of office-based work and travel to job sites, industry events, and job fairs.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Previous experience in the construction materials/paving industry or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish creditability with hiring manager and candidates.
  • Excellent technology aptitude and experience with database systems and software as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Solution oriented and resourceful, doesn't just do, but thinks through impact of actions.
  • Ability to provide expert level service to both internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Focus on Safety, Quality, and Accuracy.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet NESL's driving standards.
