Purpose:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and building relationships with prospective employees to meet LandMark’s long-term goals. This entails, screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations, all while ensuring candidates and new hires have a pleasant interview and onboarding experience. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across various departments and recruiting sources.
Responsibilities:
- Builds and retains close relationships with local schools and colleges to have a presence on campuses.
- Organizes and attends job fairs and recruiting events; coordinates with regional teams and county workforce agencies to ensure area coverages.
- Sources candidates through various channels and a variety of search methods.
- Screens candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications as well as performing phone screenings.
- Drives the candidate experience by managing job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
- Performs reference checks as needed.
- Assists Hiring Manager in facilitating the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
- Ensures all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and EEO regulations.
- Coordinates with Hiring Managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
- Assist with internship program from recruiting, onboarding, and coordination. Partner with department mentors on designating internship projects.
- Assists with day-to-day operations of the HR Department functions and duties.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand including travel to all locations and recruiting events.
General Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience in a Talent Acquisition or similar role.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of full cycle recruiting.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems, social media, and professional networks preferred.
