Tactical Data Link Operations Management

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Tactical Data Link Operations Management  who will Provide Tactical Data Link analysis support to the Air Combat Command Tactical Data Link Operations and Management Organization (TDLOMO) at Langley AFB.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to: 

• Provide technical support for network design deliveries.
• Provide technical support for topics related to Link 16 network operations, to include frequency spectrum support/coordination, design document distribution, and production of other materials required to operate Link 16 worldwide by the US and supported foreign forces.
• Provide staffing support for TDLOMO branch tasks to include staff package development for studies, analysis, and reviews.
• Coordinate tasks using task management tool and staff coordination standards, for document reviews, program updates, and background papers.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship:  Must be a US citizen

Clearance:  Must hold an active Secret clearance with the Ability to Obtain a TS/SCI

Education: BA/BS Degree

Years of Experience: 10-15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD

• Two years’ experience with employment of Link 16, contingency and operational events in the context of tactical information exchanges applicable to current programs and weapons systems
• Two years’ experience with the Link 16 network design process for the development of Link 16 networks and the interoperability requirements for Link 16 in Joint and coalition TDL operations to be used in the creation of Link 16 network description documentation
• Knowledge of and two years’ operational experience in Data Link management and employment of USAF C2 and ISR, and fighter/bomber systems. Operational employment includes frequency assignments requirements, spectrum deconfliction, and platform capabilities and limitations
• Some CONUS and OCONUS travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: BS. or B.A. degree, or 5 additional years of related experience

• Preferred two years’ staff experience with communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, as part of the staff action officer processes for coordination of taskers using existing Task Management Tool (TMT) or other staff coordination standards, document reviews, program updates, and background papers.
• Preferred two years’ recent, within five years, experience on staff with planning, organizing, and negotiating effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations for TDL network design development.
• JICO certified
