Tack And Burn Shipfitter

Job Location: Newport News, VA

Aerotek is looking for experienced Shipfitters (Tack and Burn) for Huntington Ingalls in Newport News, VA. This position will be a 2 year contract, and will pay $120 per diem to travelers who qualify!

Skills:

• Tack welding
• Blueprints
• Ship building, Ship Fitting
• Burning, grinding
• Fabrication

Required Skills:

1. Single-Pass Tack Welding.
2. Burning-Oxygen/Propane Burning Torch.
3. Heating-Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch.
4. Ability to comprehend complex drawings and blueprints.

Qualifications:

• Four years commercial/naval experience as a 1st Class Shipfitter.
• Must provide 2 professional references that can specifically speak to your Shipfitting experience.
• Must be communicative, responsive, and flexible throughout the onboarding process.



Experience Level:

Expert Level
