Job Description
Beacon Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer for our client's User Technology Engineering team. This position reports to the IT Sr Manager – Global Support. Primary areas supported are our client's company headquarters in Wisconsin, with technical leadership responsibilities for all company locations worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily leadership, workflow/priority management, and coaching of 4-6 analysts, system administrators, and contractors.
- Coordinate resource needs for emerging projects, lead team in setting user technology strategies and standards.
- Champion emerging trends and advance modernization of user experience with hardware and software solutions.
- Establish strong relationships and build rapport with cross-functional leaders and project team members as a trusted advisor and highly competent problem solver with a bias for action.
- Ensure technical solutions are in alignment with Lands’ End’s architecture and security principles, patterns, standards, and controls.
- Exhibit excellent prioritization and organizational skills for self and team, and the ability to adapt to change and be self-directed.
- Facilitate and manage lifecycle roadmaps for user technologies.
- Manage licensing levels for large-scale software solutions (i.e. Microsoft, Adobe), evaluate and approve requests, and inform leaders of purchase needs.
- Excellent service-oriented approach and methodology in decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communications; this includes the ability to present information and facts effectively for decision-making by other levels of leadership.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, drive urgency, and utilize good judgment in solving issues.
- Perform administrative duties of team such as 1-1 and team meetings, process review, overseeing work assignments, and aligning team priorities.
- Ensure consistent ticketing and mgmt. of team tasks and support incidents aligning with company service level expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, and at least 6 years of IT experience in technical and leadership roles for large enterprises.
- Certifications in Azure, Power Platform, M365, or virtual/modern desktops highly preferred.
- High proficiency and experience in Azure AD, Intune/Autopilot, traditional SCCM, JAMF, VDI solutions.
- Expert experience functioning as a systems technical lead in complex cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Proficient use of PowerShell, Excel and other tools to interpret raw data, provide dashboarding and reporting for leadership teams.
- Strong experience in hardware and software lifecycle planning and tracking.
- Strong experience in relationship building and contract management with technical solution providers and partners.
- Experience leading technical teams in an enterprise environment.
- Experience managing modern device management and deployment processes (no-touch/low-touch processes).
- Familiarity administering Microsoft technologies and licensing such as M365 Apps, SharePoint, Teams and Teams Phone System, and security/identity solutions.
- Familiarity with JAMF and iOS/MacOS configuration and administration.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, best practices, concepts, and procedures. (ITIL Foundation v3 certifications and ServiceNow experience are a plus).
LOCATION:
- The preferred work model for this position is hybrid-remote, meaning the candidate will be close enough to drive into the headquarters location in Dodgeville, Wisconsin 5-10 times per year, however a fully remote work model will also be considered.
