Description
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Engineer to work in collaboration with two other engineers in supporting a great company (250 users in size) focused on embracing modern technology and innovative ideas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and wants to be part of a small versatile team that supports all areas from mobile devices, desktops, servers, network, cloud, and applications. You will work with modern technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Azure Cloud Administration, and generative AI, among others.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be providing daily helpdesk support, executing project tasks, and working directly with the Executive team to assess business goals and challenges while proposing solutions and mapping out technology roadmaps. Areas of responsibility include the following, but the idea candidate should be motivated to learn and introduce new technology to bring benefit:
- Excellent user communication skills.
- Supporting all technology areas from mobile devices, desktops, servers, network, cloud, and applications through helpdesk tickets and defined projects.
- Managing and maintaining the Microsoft Teams while accelerating adoption.
- Microsoft Azure Administration.
- Implementing and optimizing generative AI tools.
- Assessing business goals and challenges to propose solutions.
- Working directly with the CTO and other Executives to understand and map out technology roadmaps
8. Assisting with end-user training through training sessions, creation of training videos, and or technology communication emails.
9. Eager learner with motivation to learn, use, and integrate emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
The following skills list all areas that are present in the environment. Teams and Azure certification are highly recommended but not required. The ideal candidate will have a good background in working across as much of this technology as possible with interest to learn new things:
− Teams Administration (Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate)
− Azure Administration (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate)
− Microsoft Server OS – Install/Manage
− Microsoft Desktop OS & Mac OS – Install/Manage
− Microsoft 365, Entra ID - Administration
− Office 365 – Admin/Migrations
− Teams/SharePoint/One Drive
− VMware/Hyper-V – Create/Cluster/Manage
− Network Fundamentals (DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP/VLAN/WAN/LAN/VPN)
− Routers/Switches/Access Points/Firewalls – Configure/Install – Numerous brand
− VOIP
− Disaster/Data recovery
− MDM – Intune/JAMF
− Miscellaneous Applications: SalesForce, ZenDesk, Asana
