In acknowledgement of this opportunity, the Classified Transformation organization and leadership structure have been put in place, along with significant investment to drive positive changes to both transform and standardize Classified IT delivery.
The candidate will be a System Engineer for an enterprise WAN solution: DarkStar! The candidate will be trusted to be responsible for leading, designing, supporting, and maintaining a distributed environment within DarkStar at one of our node locations for DarkStar. The selected candidate will closely work with the larger DarkStar system administration and network teams. Candidate must be comfortable working in environment supporting a large number of different platforms which range from enterprise servers to small/midsize servers and supercomputers. Candidate will be responsible for system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, patching and maintenance. Knowledge of various protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, ssh, and etc protocols and system network tuning and configuration.
*** This position works a 9x80 schedule, with every other Friday off -- Onsite at our Littleton, CO facility! ***
Basic Qualifications
• Active Secret Clearance
• Significant demonstrated experience with configuring and maintaining Windows OS environments (Physical and Virtual)
• Significant years of experience with:
- Active Directory administration, including health checks and troubleshooting
- Group Policy Object configuration and administration
- Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and/or Windows OS image building processes
- Windows Updates and patching (WSUS). Offline WSUS experience a plus.
- McAfee and EPO/ENS
- Script writing, PowerShell, Ansible, Python or other automation/scripting tools
- Virtualization, (KVM experience a plus)
- Providing support to Operations staff to resolve tier 3/4 issues
• Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
• Capable of building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts
Desired skills
• Experience with Samba
• Experience Deploying/Administering MS Exchange
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8
• Experience deploying physical and virtual Windows and Linux Systems at customer remote sites
• Experience using Certificate Authorities (CA) and Public Key Infrastructure
• Basic network configuration, particularly on Linux and Windows Hosts and Cisco & Juniper routers/firewalls
• Experience with implementation and sustainment of network time protocol (NTP) distributed servers
• Experience with Domain Capable Windows/Linux/Virtualization

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
