Systems Engineer - Server

Role Summary: The primary role is to manage and support the Company's server infrastructure, focusing on security remediation, patch management, proactive monitoring, and project work involving system upgrades and replacements. It requires a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to work within a change control process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support:

   • Manage and support Firm's Servers Infrastructure.
   • Identify and plan for End-Of-Life systems in coordination with the SSD group.
   • Handle Windows server security remediation and patch management via SCCM and MECM.
   • Support application patching/security package deployment.
   • Coordinate with hardware/software vendors to resolve issues.
   • Provide after-hours and weekend support as per schedule.

2. Proactive System Monitoring and Documentation:

   • Proactively analyze and monitor server infrastructure components.
   • Maintain accurate inventory information for server equipment.
   • Create and maintain server administration documentation.
   • Work with internal/external auditors to provide necessary documentation.

3. Project Work:

   • Document project requirements, propose solutions, manage project plans, and report project status.
   • Enforce policies/procedures for project and task management.
   • Collaborate with local/global IT teams for short- and long-term goals.
   • Manage server-related issue remediation regularly.
   • Assess and maintain hardware/software systems up-to-date.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related fields.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in SCCM, knowledge of VMWare.
• Experience with Red Hat Server support is a plus.
