We have a fun, casual, and collaborative environment and are looking for a creative Systems Engineer II to join our growing nationwide team! This position is fully remote!
What You’ll do:
- Oversee, monitor, manage, and develop physical infrastructure components of Premier One internal and client IT systems. These systems include, but are not limited to: SDWAN, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, physical server hosts, SAN devices, data storage hardware, and server/network hardware
- Oversee, monitor, manage, and develop virtual infrastructure components of Premier One internal and client IT systems. These systems include but are not limited to: firewalls, switches, wireless access points, physical server hosts, SANS devices, data storage hardware, VMware and Hyper-V servers, central control portals (WatchGuard Systems Manager, vSphere, UniFi Controller, RoyalTS, Screenconnect, KnowBe4, etc.), virtual appliances, Microsoft Azure products and services, and Microsoft 365 tenants
- Monitor, manage, test, and verify data backups and disaster recovery strategy for Premier One and client systems, maintaining full compliance with SSAE standards and Premier One client contracts
- Provide technical leadership and expertise to internal team and clients including onsite and/or remote support in areas of expertise and as requested or assigned
- Manage and support network utilization monitoring toolset and displays
- Test, manage, and develop both new and existing IT systems to drive consistent technological innovation in collaboration with the VP of Technology
- Maintain consistent and up-to-date documentation including network diagrams and SOP’s for all systems within the scope and control of this position
- Project support and on-call responsibilities as assigned; some travel required as necessary for client support
- Primary Systems: Deployed Microsoft 365 and Azure products and services, Windows Server OS, VMware, WatchGuard, Cisco, Ubiquiti, ShadowProtect, KnowBe4, Dell PowerEdge, Connectwise, IT Glue, Screenconnect
What Experience and Education You'll Need:
- 7 years’ experience Managing IT systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Associate degree or equivalent experience required
- Proven expertise in and ownership of Premier One primary systems
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft domain technologies, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory (AD Administration, Group Policy) and Office 365 in an enterprise network environment
- Advanced knowledge of server virtualization technologies (primarily VMware with some Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Advanced knowledge of network concepts including routers, managed switches, VLANs, WLANs, and UTM/NGFW Firewalls
- Previous experience with technical writing and documentation
