As a trusted partner, Converge Technology Solutions is helping our client identify, screen and secure a Systems Engineer to join their team on a 6-12-month contract to hire basis. This role is a hybrid position (3 days) onsite in Johns Creek.
This position incorporates System Administration responsibilities over a Windows AD Server infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Ability to configure, maintain, support and troubleshoot the following key technologies:
- VMware vSphere
- Microsoft Windows Server (2019 / 2016 / 2012 R2)
- Microsoft Active Directory (Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, NPS, etc.)
- Office 365 and Exchange Server (2019, 2016)
- Storage (HPE Nimble, Dell-EMC, NetApp, etc.)
- Backup Solutions (Veeam, Zerto, etc.)
- Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide training and support to junior members of the team where required.
- Manage day-to-day operations by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
- Manage email security utilizing a combination of Office 365 and Barracuda for DLP, AV, phishing, content checks, URL checks.
- Must possess the ability to work well and collaborate with team members and all personnel across the organization.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- BS/A degree in relevant field or significant relevant work experience
- Knowledge and understanding of conceptual infrastructure architectures (Private/Public Cloud, automation, etc.)
- Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience within a Directory Service stack. (Active Directory, WINS, LDAP, DNS, GPO, AD Federation, SAML, ADFS, Multi Factor, Azure AD connect).
- Experience with Multi-vendor hardware and software solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems.
- Scripting skills preferred (PowerShell/VB Script)
- Strong sense of urgency and self-starting work style
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong oral & written communication
- Possess practical problem solving and solid troubleshooting skills combined with excellent written communications skills
