Company Background Investigation, CAC and a secret security clearance is required for this position.
• Such on-site services would include, but are not limited to, problem identification and resolution, instruction in performance of maintenance/installation procedures or providing technical information/advice relative to the specific equipment at that site.
• Provide technical support required to perform Installation and Check out test and trouble shooting.
• Coordinate with the onsite ship coordinator to assist with the Installation and Check Out.
• Trouble shoots any failures to the Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU).
• Report any failed LRUs or other issues to the on-site Government representative.
• Remove/reinstall any failed LRUs if necessary.
• Generate procedures/processes sheets in advance for any on-site work that will be performed if procedures do not already exist. Procedures shall include step-by-step instructions and figures to clearly illustrate the work being performed.
• Procedures shall be delivered in Microsoft Word format at least one week prior to Commencing the onsite work. All draft procedures will be verified and updated by the onsite NSWC PHD rep.
• Place of performance is Shipyards, Navy installations, contractor facilities or wherever needed.
• Coordinate visit’s with the lead government code at NSWC PHD.
• Inspection and acceptance of all repairs performed, if required, shall be accomplished by the Cognizant Government Representative/s.
• Prepare and submit any documentation regarding the work performed to document results, status, and trip report.
• All tools, test equipment, and fixtures required to accomplish this TA and not available as GFE shall be identified and provided by the contractor on an as required and available basis.
• All contractor personnel working on board Navy ships shall adhere to all shipboard policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Personnel must contact the on-site government representative, i.e. PHD or RMC, prior to commencing work on board ship.
• The required completion date will depend on the ships schedule. The preferred dates for completion of the specific trip will be provided via email by the technical POC of the event at least two weeks prior to when the work is required to commence or as agreed by both parties.
• Overtime is authorized on as needed basis.
• Ability to perform duty in shipyards or onboard ships (at sea) in confined spaces and heights exceeding 8 feet.
• 6 Years of shipboard experience
• Must possess a secret clearance
• Experience in leading technical teams in troubleshooting and integration testing.
• Communication skills in briefing at all levels of the organization and be able to work with and foster a strong team environment.
• Analytical skills to effectively track, manage, and status multiple technical issues.
• Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
