Security Systems Administrator

Summary: Oversee the maintenance and administration of security systems and technology integration. This support includes consulting, assisting & tracking master system architecture for local Security Administration teams in order to achieve logical collective implementation. Provide Contractor/Local Security support for programming or bringing systems into operations. Maintain Security System Server Software Licensing. Provide liaison for Local Security and Systems designers and manufactures. Install, repair and maintain electronic security systems operating in analog/digital network environments. Ensure design/construction projects are consistent with industry best practices as well as client's design standards, scope, schedule and budgets. Reinforces the direction of facility security systems, and develops relationships with IT, local security & related contractors in order to maintain system efficiencies.

Immediate opening for a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and technical understanding of electronic security systems that work on analog/digital communication networks.

Principle Responsibilities:

1. Maintain documentation of the security system configuration

2. Provide technical & troubleshooting support, coordinate problem tracking and resolution

3. Security Systems Auditing

4. Fulfill the Responsibilities, Qualifications, Competencies, and applicable Addenda of subordinates or designated staff

5. Act in the absence of the Account Manager, when directed

6. Assist the Account Manager in Systems Administrative or functional tasks as directed

7. Interpret applicable policies and procedures based on existing circumstances

8. Install, maintain, inspect, repair and design a wide variety of electronic security system devices

9. Review and oversee corrections to appropriate systems' operator reports

10. Evaluate and document systems' operator performance

11. Maintenance & Health Monitoring

12. Ensure Company System Standards are maintained.

13. Perform User training for Security Personnel and other System Users

14. Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned post.

15. Quickly identify potential negative situations and implement effective countermeasures

16. Teach facility-specific procedures and policies

17. Provides position coverage, if necessary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Five (5) years of extensive experience testing, inspecting, installing, repairing and programming of diversified alarm, electronic security and systems. Minimum 3-years' experience in working as a Systems Administrator with general knowledge in server applications and extensive knowledge in system administration functions. Experience must have included current state-of-the art technology and equipment. Extensive familiarity with blueprints and standards and wiring diagrams; Working knowledge of LENEL/ONSSI/BOSCH/HID/AIPHONE security systems a plus; Experience with current software programs such as Windows network platforms, SQL, MSN Office including MSN Project; Prior experience in the development of comprehensive training programs for service line staff. Must be experienced or capable to become knowledgeable about applications for security, communication and safety systems; Knowledge of communication systems to include two-way radios networks.
